    Those enormous lenticular cloud formations hanging above mountains are always spectacular, especially in the low-angle tinted light. Here in Washington, we often see similar clouds over Mt. Ranier. I've spent a good deal of time in Alaska myself and plan to return again whenever I can afford the time and cost. There's nothing else quite like the stark contrasts of the gentle illumination against the snow-covered terrain.
