Taken on a back street in Mexico. . .right near Christmas time (lots of fireworks). You can't see them, but there were two boys standing here, one of them lit a bottle rocket - hence the spark trail. The smoke from that then created the rays coming through the trees.

I had another shot of a similar scene here set up, but somebody threw a firecracker behind me and scared me half to death. . .so I moved on.

  • Wow! Great shot, and I'm going to have to remember this technique.

  • Very cool lighting! Love the spart traii.

I know it's right smack in the middle of the image, but it still took my (or my eye rather) awhile to find it. I guess I was looking to hard, but it's still hidden in the business of the photo. Maybe some cropping?

Anyway, cool shot and great effect!
